Inside My Mind / 2018 - 2019

In 2018, I undertook a period of total seclusion of 7 months, 7 days and 7 hours in a completely isolated and locked space. I decided to disconnect my mind from the outside world, aware of the chaos imposed by modern hyperconnectivity, where constant digital stimulation diverts our attention from what is essential. This decision was a deliberate attempt to disconnect and explore my being from within, immersing myself in an introspective journey to slow down the mind and rediscover my deepest thoughts, evoking new creative interpretations in my memory. This act of isolation was not only a personal challenge, but also a call to reflect on how modernity distances us from our own essence. In a world flooded with distractions and superficial connections, the space for our most authentic thoughts is diluted, relegating the exploration of our true identity and purpose.  During isolation, I experienced an emotional metamorphosis, breaking free from the chains of digital overstimulation and allowing my deepest inner self to surface. This process allowed me to connect with myself in an authentic way, creating from a place of truth and self-knowledge. Each resulting work reflects the various emotional transformations experienced during confinement and invites the viewer to question their own relationship with themselves in an increasingly hyperconnected world. This project marked a creative awakening, inspiring ideas for future work and establishing a new path of inner exploration.
