Luminous Darkness | 2025
"Luminous Darkness" is the result of a reconciliation process. For much of my life, darkness was a source of anguish. The nyctophobia that I have suffered from since childhood conditioned me to view darkness as an abyss of uncertainty. However, I decided to stop running away from that shadow and start looking for the light within it, which gave birth to this project.
Inspired by my profound personal reunion with God a year ago, this series of five paintings is a visual testament to my faith. I was moved by the idea that no matter how dense the darkness surrounding us is, God will always provide a light to guide us. This light transforms the darkness itself into something radiant. Each of these pieces is anchored in a biblical verse that has been my compass on this journey. Through them, I seek to capture the truth that sustains my artistic practice and to internalize that the path is always revealed. I also seek to show that darkness, when illuminated by faith, ceases to be a place of fear and becomes a sacred space of encounter.
